DJ RIDEON (Ghetto 808 / Top Billin)
Rideon is a DJ / producer / club promoter based in Helsinki, Finland.
Rideon is DJing regulary in Helsinki at the top notch night clubs like Redrum and Kuudes Linja, and playing also in other major finnish cities and at the Pori Jazz festival. He has also done a small tour and several other gigs abroad (London, Vienna, Prague, Brussels, Berlin and Tallin). Gigs in Portugal and another small eurotour are coming up in 2009.
Rideon is known as a eclectic DJ with diverse sets full of remixes. Usually he spins a lot of baile funk, baltimore club, kuduro, dirty electro, fidget house, nu rave, bassline house, dubstep, dancehall, miami bass, booty bass, ghetto tech, hip-hop, boogie and italo disco just to mention some.
DJing since 2001 he has promoted and hosted many legendary club nights and parties in Finland like Bustin Loose!, Old School Throwdown and Hekuma. 2008 he was running a bi-monthly night called Ghetto 808. (guests featuring names like Sany Pitbull (BRA), Joyce Muniz (BRA), Luomo, Lil Tony, Tes La Rok and Sir Nenis from Top Billin amongst others). In 2009 he’s running We Love Helsinki parties and Boom Shakalaka club nights.
He has several mixes out on the Ghetto 808 series all available for download at his podcast.
Rideon is also known as a real baile funk connoissuer and he also writes an interesting blog about it.
His releases so far include 2 remixes with a baile funk feel: ”This My Shit” was released in March 2008 for free digital promo. And working together with the Top Billin crew Rideon had his track ”Fuck Me Baby” released on the bestseller remix vinyl EP Tales From Top Billin 12”.
